After thirty five years on the mat, I can feel when my cells are happy. There is a hum of steady energy that coffee cannot create. I practice yoga for extension and strength, but those are side effects. The real reason is to reset my biology. It feels deeply good for my body and my mind. It is a full internal recharge that nothing else compares to.

In my twenties, yoga was all about strength and handstands. In my forties, it became a place to find peace. Now, it is how I care for my brain. My mat is where I clear space and quiet the noise. The clarity after class is not mystical. It is my nervous system finding its rhythm again.

I used to think weights were the only way to build strong bones. Yoga taught me another way. When I press my feet into the mat, lift through my legs, and lengthen my spine, I am training my bones with precision. I have seen women in their fifties and sixties rebuild strength, balance, and confidence through this work.
